Jen the maker

Meet Jen! The Maker, The Magnificent, and the sweetest sister to our beloved Jac.

To be honest, Jen does it all. She cuts down Boho Boots, makes hatbands, feather earrings, feather Boot Bands, leather cuffs, and up-cycled bag straps. Phew! Jen’s discipline is apparent in her work as she rarely makes mistakes. She is meticulous, has a steady hand, and works quietly as she completes every task with grace.

Jac says looking back, “I always wanted to work with my sister, Jen. For years I dreamed of us working together before it finally happened.”

Jen began her journey with FauxyFurr in 2012 as a photographer helping to bring our Etsy store to life. She housed over 200 vintage coats filling the downstairs level of her home. Wall-to-wall, floor-to-ceiling, all you could see were coats!  It was like this for years until FauxyFurr rented a warehouse near the Arlington Airport.

Fast forward to 2019 and Jen transitioned to working part-time with Jac making Boho Boots eventually coming on full-time in 2021.

A bit about Jen:

Jen says her style is “tom-boy”, sharing that her go-to outfit includes worn-in jeans, a vintage tee, and a pair Vans. Jen and her husband Wess along with their 3 youngest children live in Jen's childhood home, having purchased it in 2018 from her father.  In their spare time, they have been remodeling the house room by room bringing in out of the 1980s oak age.

Her favorite thing about working at FauxyFurr is “Being with my friends and my family every day.”

We love you, Jen! Thank you for all that you do for FauxyFurr! It feels like home, because we’re all doing it together.
