FauxyFurr is one of my all-time favorite shops. The love, attention to detail, and strong fashion sense that Jac has is obvious from minute one of stepping into her shop. Every time I am in there I find something I "need" whether it is another pair of her handmade earrings, a new custom hat or upcycled boho boots; she even has a selection of vintage furs. Her knowledge and passion is stellar and hard to find in today's world, a true talent. Any time I wear something from FauxyFurr I get compliments and it makes for great conversation starters! Had the most amazing experience with Jac and her shop! My partner and I traveled all the way from White Rock, BC Canada looking for a custom hat store. My partner wanted to gift me a custom cowboy hat for my birthday. We found Jac’s shop on Google and made the trip out based on the reviews and… they did not disappoint! I've been making low budget costumes for decades. However I've never connected up with a skilled seamstress until I met Jac. Finally my imagination is coming to life! Their beautiful store inspires creativity. They invite me to bring in some of my old classic records to play on their quality old school stereo. This place is too good to be true ( almost)
When I came into the store I knew what look I was trying to achieve but didn't know what style of hat would get me there. After talking to Jac (who, BTW, is very open-minded and just fun to talk to) she found and customized the perfect hat for me. In addition to giving me the "look" I wanted, the quality of the hat is excellent and the price was fair and reasonably. I will never look anywhere else when I need a hat!
I brought Australian Army Slouch hat home to Louisiana from Vietnam in 1968. It lived in a trunk in my attic until January of this year. I researched Hat Makers throughout the US hoping I could find someone who wanted to try to restore it, as it was in bad shape.
After contacting Jac, and although her shop is 2,600 miles away, I was soon confident that she could do the job if anyone could. I sent the hat to her, we had a few back and forth emails and I patiently stood by for the results.
It was a good decision to trust her. The finished product; repaired, reconditioned, and resized, exceeded my expectations. I couldn’t be more pleased with the results of her work on this sentimental and now presentable and useful item.
Had my cavalry Stetson repaired here after it was crushed and very badly misshapen. I thought it was beyond repair. Got it back looking brand new. So happy great service and the hats made in house are also very nice. Highly recommend. The owner was very nice and a joy to talk to you could tell she cares a lot.

Wonderful shop and people! They are true artists, creatives and curators and have the best style! I have gotten many pairs of boots and the most stylish boot bands from them! Each time I visit, I find another unique find for my wardrobe. Recently got a custom hat from Jac, and it was an amazing experience. From picking the color, to the shape and selecting from all the different trim options, each little step was customized. In the end, I got a hat that fits me so perfectly and is going to last a lifetime. It’s a true work of art that I plan on wearing daily! We are so lucky to have this kind of craftsmanship in our community!
Jac is the consummate professional and everything you miss about excellent customer service these days! She handmade and customized a hat for my fiancé for an upcoming wrangler/riding trip, and we are beyond thrilled with the result! You can see her dedication to her craft in the smallest details of the hat, down to the horsehair braid. Never having had a hat custom made, we didn't know what to expect out of the experience. Jac not only welcomed us into her store, but enveloped and engaged us in a variety of materials. She asked a lot of questions to learn more about us as people, but also what the hat will be used for. When Jac wasn't happy with the initial fitting of the hat, she was openly communicative and realistic about the time it would take to make adjustments, while still meeting our deadline. We will absolutely return to FauxyFurr for all hat purchases in the future and recommend her warm, friendly, and amazing talent beyond measure. Thank you so much, Jac!
